The lodge is nestled in a rural location with views across Sydling Brook and to Langford Lake. The popular seaside town of Weymouth with its sandy beach is nearby and the harbour town of West Bay is a short drive away. There are stunning far reaching views from the cottage you can see miles across the countryside from both the dining room and bedrooms. Nearby Hardy s Monument stands on an exposed location above the village of Portesham and was built in 1844. It is shaped to represent a spyglass or telescope that Admiral Hardy would have used on board ship and has tremendous views across the Dorset countryside and coast. Take a short drive into the vibrant town of Dorchester which is 6 miles away and offers a range of amenities including shops weekly markets restaurants pubs and museums. The popular seaside town of Weymouth is just 7 miles away take time to sit and have a drink and watch the amazing old Harbour with all its boats and ferries or jump on one to visit Guernsey for the day.
