  • "Lovely house, very clean and perfect for our family of 4, as noted in the listing I agree would struggle to fit with 6 adults but great for a family with kids."

Be aware the hill back to the house is VERY STEEP, we walked it once then ended up driving and parking down in the town. House has everything you need and the welcome pack of local food and milk was a really lovely touch! If I’m being very picky, it would have been useful to have some oil for cooking, and a washing up brush, but those are very minor things, unfortunately we couldn’t use the dishwasher for all our kids things. One of the dining room table chairs is broken with the seat loose, but otherwise the house was in excellent condition and really well cleaned. A great base for exploring.

  • "Admiral’s View is a well equipped holiday home with lovely views over Lyme Regis."

The bed was extremely comfortable and everywhere was lovely and clean. As described by previous holiday makers, the walk into Lyme Regis is about 15 minutes along the pretty river walk but as the house is up on a hill it is a slower journey back. All the bedrooms are spacious though we only needed to use the main bedroom. Our main comment regarding the living space is that it would not comfortably accommodate 6 people so is more suitable for 4 adults or a family of 5. We felt that there was perhaps too much furniture in the living area and that possibly the nest of tables and table in the corner with the music centre were not really necessary and would have given more space to the room. The patio was a lovely place to sit out in the sun to admire the lovely views. Many thanks for the lovely welcome pack which was one of the best we have received. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday.

  • "Admirals View is a delightful comfy modern abode for 6 people."

We were 4 adults and 2 children - and they loved the bunk beds. It was totally immaculate throughout, loved the tasteful artwork, well equipped, brilliant parking for two cars, very efficient heating/water and wonderful sundrenched terrace for apres beach evening drinks. Suggestions (but NOT criticisms): double up the pillows in top room, include a balloon whisk (got to make pancakes on holiday), ditch small freezer and do a 3/4 1/4 fridge freezer somewhere (fridge was rammed for just three nights in April, summer would be even more challenging), walk to beach is in places a 45 degree - NOT a slight incline! and takes more than ten mins. But all in all, yet another winner for us from Lyme Bay Holidays. Lauren Farnhill, Portsmouth

  • "The house is lovely and exceptionally clean."

We had everything we needed, there were just a couple of things we felt would have made our stay even better. The outside decking area could do with a parasol, it's a real suntrap and gets very hot. We couldn't see a full length mirror anywhere (us women needed one!!) The lounge area can only seat 4 comfortably even though the house can sleep, I know that is stated in the description but seems a bit odd. Lastly, I feel it should be mentioned that the walk back from town is up a very steep hill , it is not a slight incline. We found a couple of ways to try and cut down on the hill, winding through the streets and cemetery, though it is bit longer. We didn't allow these things to get in the way of a very enjoyable holiday.
